Meet our Team

Management

Terry Rider, CEO - Terry is an adventurer to say the least.  Having been a Snow Ski Instructor, Pilot, EMT, Deputy Sheriff, Volunteer Firefighter, SWAT Medic and an Automobile Collector, he hasn't had much time to rest. Since 1989, Terry and his brother Ted have personally overseen each aspect of D.I.'s incredible journey. He currently holds 13 U.S. Patents for the D.I. Roof Seamer and its different models and accessories. Terry enjoys riding his motorcycle, restoring Shelby automobiles, working on new projects with the R&D team and relaxing in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.

Todd Hight, General Manager - Todd started as a production employee in 1993. His true potential was quickly recognized by the owners of D.I. and he was quickly brought up through the ranks. With a degree in Automated Manufacturing Technologies and over two decades of experience in CNC programming and operations, Todd has what it takes to ensure that every operation at D.I. operates at maximum efficiency. He oversees all activities and carries out any other role that dictates the direction of the company. What little time he isn't at the office, he spends fishing, working in his yard and spending time with his family.

Ted Rider, R&D Director - Ted oversees all of the new product development and fosters new ideas to make our company the best at what we do.  Working with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Ted heads up a rehabilitation program for law violators.  This program allows him to volunteer his time and energy to his community to let his cases have a second lease on life.  As an accomplished pilot, Ted flies every chance he gets.  Whether it is in the Developmental Industries company plane or a few moments in front of a flight simulator, he is able to relish in the joys of the wild blue yonder.  Aside from finding and restoring automobiles, Ted is also an accomplished musician, having toured and played across much of the U.S., he enjoys playing anything from the bass guitar, drums, the piano and anything in between.

Shane Weathers, Plant Manager - Shane oversees the day-to-day operations of Developmental Industries, Inc. Scheduling and processing all work flow through the manufacturing facility, ensuring processes are efficient and a high quality standard is maintained, assisting in product design and concepts, assisting in document control standards for the company and conducting time & efficiency studies are just a few of the overwhelming responsibilities that Shane faces every day. With a long history of mechanical design and management duties, Shane is more than qualified to handle any situation that may arise at our main production facility. Shane is also one of only six SolidWorks Certified Associated in the State of Mississippi. Hobbies like hunting, fishing and boating take a quick second place to his favorite hobby, his 5 year old daughter.

Alllison Weathers, Office Manager - Allison coordinates all of the daily activities within our office complex. For the past 11 years, as D.I.'s Office Manager, Allison has been with us through many adventures -- some say that just knowing Allison is an adventure in of itself. Like her husband, Shane, she is a charismatic individual with the ability to lead by example. When she isn't at work, Allison enjoys entertaining, going to concerts and decorating.

Patrick Claunch, Logistics Manager - Since just about everything that goes into a D.I. Roof Seamer is built under one roof, Patrick ensures that we receive the best possible materials to put into each of our Roof Seamers. Patrick also manages our shipping/receiving department, the tool crib, inventory control systems along with the D.I. Graphics Department where every label and sticker is produced. With nearly two decades as a lead manufacturing engineer with Caterpillar Inc., Patrick brings valuable experience into the safety and logistical operations of D.I. When he's not at work, Patrick's schedule is full as he fulfills the role of Chief of a Fire Department only a few miles from D.I. and a little fishing from time to time.

Office Staff

Sarah Madjlesi-Walker, Accounts Payable & Receivable - Sarah is responsible for helping all of the paperwork flow smoothly through our offices by working with all of our outgoing and incoming accounts. With a MBA from the University of North Alabama, she has the training needed to make our operations as efficient as possible. After work, she enjoys shopping, baking, reading and spending time with her son, Sam.

Becky Martin, Customer Accounts Manager - Becky acts as our primary contact for other customers outside of the metal building industry. As D.I. has the unique capabilities that sets us apart from other manufacturers, we are capable of assisting other companies such as Caterpillar Inc. With a Lean Manufacturing Certification and a long history of management experiences, Becky is capable of assisting these customers with ease. Becky spends her time off scrapbooking, photography, working with church ministry projects and spending time with her very athletic children.

Lisa Smith, Roof Seamer Accounts Manager/CSR - Lisa reviews and processes all information in regards to roof seamer ordering. With an incredible working knowledge of general roof seamer information, she is the first person you want to speak with when getting ready to order your next roof seamer. Lisa has over 10 years customer service experience and is ready to help with any of your roof seaming needs. Lisa enjoys riding motorcycles, being at the lake and relaxing at home.

Sales / Marketing

Kevin Thomas, Sales Manager - Kevin is a graduate of East Carolina University and has had an extensive background in sales and marketing for over 30 years including National Sales Director for Cortelco International.  He also has received awards for various Dale Carnegie leadership, sales, presentation skills and public speaking.  He enjoys powerlifting and currently hold the SLP Federation 50 and over bench press record for the State of Mississippi.

Steve Richardson, Sales/CSR - "Smilin' Steve" has easily became the face of D.I. over the years to most of our customers. Providing decades of knowledge and experience to our sales team, Steve is no stranger to the construction market. With accreditations from Dale Carnegie and ULTC in addition to over 25 years of experience, Steve has been responsible for literally millions of dollars of structures going up all over the U.S. The only thing that Steve enjoys more than a Roof Seamer are his grandchildren and working around the house. These are both precious things to Steve as he spend most of his time on the roads to different Trade Shows and events across the country.

Jonathan Rider, Marketing/CSR - Jonathan spends most of his time behind a desk working with websites. If it is media related, he will most likely be involved; from writing manuals to working on an instructional video. Every so often you will see him emerge from behind his desk long enough to make an appearance at a Trade Show or to help teach a Operator Certification Class somewhere. When he isn't at work, Jonathan enjoys helping out at the local fire department where he serves as a firefighter and an EMT.

Keith Hamm, Sales - After 20 years experience as a sales and sourcing specialist, Keith is known within our industry as a "go to" guy. As an Operations Manager for a very successful business, Keith has the experience and resources that is needed to supply any customer with exactly what they are looking for. Keith remembers enjoying fishing and riding ATV's in the past, but it's been so long that he's not sure anymore.

Technical Support

Bo Newman, Lead Technician/TSR - Bo oversees all testing of Roof Seamers before they leave. The 'testing phase' is a vital step in our quality control process that every Roof Seamer received before it is sent to a builder. Detailed inspections of the seam are just part of the demands that Bo handles every day. When he's not at work, Bo enjoys traveling, fishing and spending time with his family.

Matt Rushing, Lead Technician/TSR - Matt is personally involved in EVERY Roof Seamer that goes out the door and is passionate about making sure that you receive the best machine that is available. When a problem arises in the field, Matt is determined that he will make sure that the problem is solved quickly. When he's not on the road, Matt is a hunter and fisherman that enjoys riding horses and ATV's.

Danny Stovall, Lead Technician/TSR - For years, Danny has made sure that every Roof Seamer has the correct set-up and is the best it can be before it goes off to Final Inspection. Danny's attention to detail and appreciation of our customers makes him the perfect candidate for this job. As a Lead Technician, Danny is able to carefully ensure that every machine that he touches is what you deserve.
